2024/2025 Breeding Schedule
We have started planning our breeding schedule for 2025 kidding season. Yay!!
If you are interested in a specific pairing please contact us to be put on the list however we do reserve to keep any kid born from any breeding pair regardless of reservation. Breeding will start in beginning to mid September. First fresheners will be bred first to assess kids and possible have avail does in milk. The majority of kidding will be February-April. We are planning to attend the 2025 ADGA Nationals in Grand Island, NE, so kidding will be selective this year in order to ensure we have the does at their peak preference at that time.
Please remember breeding pairs might change if any new bucks are brought into the herd.

NIGERIAN DWARF & ALPINE KID PRICES:
Doelings $450 and up, depending on dam's wins and milking awards. Wethers $200. Our quality stock sells quickly and we recommend placing a reservation for the goat or breeding of your choice. We register goats with the ADGA
SALES POLICY:
Prices quoted are for animals picked up at our farm and paid for by Cash, Venmo, or PayPal, friends and family. Additional charges including kennels, health certificates, state required testing, shipping costs, etc., are the responsibility of the buyer.
We will ship your goat or goats to where ever. But please let us know if unusual tests or import permits into the state is required. We can get it done, but need time to get it all done and if it can not be done will let you know quickly before a deposit is made and lost.
We try our best to get what needs to be done for a goat to fly to their new home. We do not have the time to check each state to find out what is required. Please let us know in advance if your state needs something special. We leave it up to you, the buyer to let us know what needs to be done. Thank you.
Reservations can be made for Nigerian Dwarf & Alpine kids. If the kid of your choice is not born we will either keep you on the list for the next available kid or you can wait for the next breeding season. A $100 (non-refundable) deposit will hold the kid of your choice, until weaned 8-12 weeks, will be discussed at time in which deposit is received (bottle or dam raised), while pick-up or shipping arrangements are made. Any adult doe or buck bought is to be picked up within 2 weeks of final payment. Anytime after that, there will be a $8 a day charge for "board" of said animal.
If the kid of your choice is not born or something happens to the kid, the reservation will be held over for the next breeding or refunded at the discretion of Open Ridge Farms. If a person changes their mind or can not pick the goat up for what ever reason, the deposit is not refundable and not banked to use toward another sale years later.
If an animal is posted as being "exposed" to a buck we do not guarantee that animal is pregnant. "Exposed" simply means that animal has been in with a buck for a period of time and should be pregnant. It does not guarantee pregnancy or the #'s of bucks or does born to the doe. There will be no refund of money under any circumstance for a doe that aborts or the kids pass away.
All Nigerian Dwarf kids are disbudded or polled, we are no longer offering kids with horns.
Kids are sold at 8-12 weeks, dewormed and given their first CD/T vaccination.
